NAKHON RATCHASIMA - The Chum Phuang district chief and another man were seriously injured when their pick-up trucks collided head-on in Phimai district on Sunday. Pol Lt Col Denchai Chamnannaimuang, the Phimai police duty officer, said the accident occurred between kilometre markers 14-15 on Phimai-Chum Phuang Road near Ban Nong Chik at about 2pm. Both vehicles were badly damaged, while Mr Tossapol and Mr Phuthep were seriously injured. The injured were admitted to Phimai Hospital. On learning of the accident, Vichien Chantaranothai, the Nakhon Ratchasima governor,went to visit Mr Tossapol who was being treated in an intensive care unit.
